Our Story

SIDECAR ROASTERS kicked into gear in 2021, created by three long-time mates and colleagues with over twenty years of shared history: Mike Raper, Ben Greenslade-Stanton and Marty Farrugia. Each is a professional musician, educator and artist in their own right, bringing years of creative practice, performance and teaching experience to the table. What began as a simple idea to roast great coffee with integrity quickly grew into something larger. It became a fusion of craft, culture and creativity shaped by a trio who understand rhythm, precision, expression and the power of a well-made product.

SIDECAR ROASTERS began in Sydney, roasting in a compact setup surrounded by noise, energy and endless cables. The journey has now brought us to Branxton in the Hunter Valley, a town where history, modern character and regional charm meet in a perfect mix. The SIDECAR ROASTERS Roastery Cafe sits at the centre of it all, with beans roasted on site, curated playlists, local food, rotating art exhibitions and a team that genuinely enjoys welcoming people in.

We source standout coffees from around the world and roast them with precision, curiosity and a confident approach to flavour. From bold single origins to crowd-pleasing blends, everything we create is designed to taste great without any unnecessary fuss. Whether you enjoy espresso, filter, cold brew or the latest brewing gadget you discovered online,
we have something that will hit the mark.

SIDECAR ROASTERS is about coffee, culture and community moving forward together. A place to sit, talk, sip, think, gain inspiration, create, caffeinate and return to. Jump in, buckle up in the sidecar and visit us in Branxton.

The roaster is humming, the art is on the walls and the coffee is ready when you are.
